My favourite photoshoot locations

One of the most time consuming (and fun) parts of being a photographer is location scouting.

You may not realise how much goes into curating a collection of local spots to offer clients.

First and foremost I have to make sure the locations are available for me to use – and finding a beautiful field of wildflowers that isn’t private property is actually really difficult.

I also have to take into consideration how busy a location will be (both with the public and other photographers), the lighting and direction of the sunset, how easy a spot is to access (keeping in mind my clients are often pregnant and/or bringing a pram) plus about a million other factors.

Which is why I prefer to shoot at locations from my list. I’ve been there before, done test shots, figured out the best spots to pose you and troubleshooted anything that may go wrong.

The last thing I want is to spend time from your shoot figuring all these things out – I would rather spend every last minute capturing as many beautiful photos for you as possible.

So here is my ever growing collection of tried and true locations that I love to shoot at.
