birth photography

As a mama and birth story addict - documenting a birth is one of my favourite things to do.

It is such an honour to be invited into a birth space and be entrusted to photograph the start of a new life.

I love capturing all the little details of the birth space and the story of your little one's entrance into the world.

Looking back on your photos; you will remember the energy and emotions in the room, the tough moments as well as the love and support of those present.

You never think you will forget these moments until you do.

Photographs and journaling are your best insurance.
INVEST in both.

As the birthing mama you are in complete control of every step of the process.

If at any moment you need me to stop photographing or leave the room, just say the word.

consultation

I like to start all birth client relationships with a consultation. You have invited me to be a part of an incredibly important and intimate moment in your lives and I want to get to know you first. During this time we will go through all of your questions and discuss your plan and preferences for the birth.

It's best to book our consultation earlier rather than later (Before 37 weeks) just in case baby decided to come early.

from 37 weeks

At thirty seven weeks I will be on call for your birth 24/7 until baby is born. Be sure to save my contact details in everyone's phone so you can let me know as soon as you start to experience signs of labour. I will plan to meet you at the hospital / birthing centre / your home for the start of active labour (or around 6cm).

your birth session

Your birth session begins when I am called to the birth location during active labour and will continue until after your baby enters the world.

I will stay to capture those first cuddles, first breastfeed, meeting family members and any other moments you'd like captured for up to 2 hours after the birth.

after the birth

After I leave I will select a few images to edit and deliver within a few hours. That way you are ready to announce your baby's birth whenever is right for you.

Your full gallery will be ready within 3 weeks of your birth, I will send you an invitation via email.
